Since its inception in January 2026, Corroleum Consulting has provided expertise to a variety of organizations including oilfield service companies, chemical suppliers, engineering, procurement, and construction firms, renewable energy and carbon capture businesses, academic institutions and water analysis companies.

Expertise Provided for an Oilfield EPC Project

In partnership with an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) company, Corroleum Consulting devised a chemical treatment strategy to prevent corrosion on a new Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) vessel. During the engineering phase, Corroleum Consulting analysed P&IDs and the process conditions to identify the corrosion risks. This information was used to specify chemical injection locations, chemical dose rates and tank-storage requirements for corrosion inhibitors, biocides and oxygen scavengers to mitigate corrosion on the FPSO

Partnership with a Water Diagnostics Company

Corroleum Consulting has provided expertise to a water analysis company whose technologies are used to determine the corrosivity, bacteria content and scaling tendencies of water. The company is well established in the commercial, municipal and healthcare sectors but sought to enter the oil and gas market. Corroleum Consulting evaluated their innovative technologies and developed a market-entry strategy. Subsequently, these technologies are now used in oil and gas fields across North America, West Africa, Europe and the Middle East.

Consultancy for an Oilfield Service Company

Corroleum Consulting partnered closely with an oilfield service company to develop a comprehensive range of oilfield chemicals including scale inhibitors, corrosion inhibitors, solids dispersants and multifunctional products. The project covered formulation design and performance validation under highly corrosive and scaling conditions to confirm the products were fit for purpose. 

University Collaborations

Several universities in the UK and USA have benefited from technical expertise provided by Corroleum Consulting. We have provided guidance on the scope of PhD corrosion projects and have evaluated how novel technologies developed by universities can be adopted by the energy industry.
